As part of the implementation of the pilot project "Community Prosecutor", specialized training sessions were held in Kyiv from October 7 to 10, 2024, for representatives of four district prosecutor's offices: Halytskyi District Prosecutor's Office of Lviv, Bucha District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv Region, Bolhrad District Prosecutor's Office of Odesa Region, and the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol.

The four-day training focused on studying community needs assessment methods and implementing human-centered approaches in the work of prosecutors. Oksana Bednarska, social support coordinator at the "Posmishka UA" Charity Foundation and trainer, provided participants with in-depth insights into these aspects of their work.
Participants also developed negotiation, conflict resolution, and constructive dialogue skills, integrating the core principles of the Harvard Negotiation Model together with Iryna Chorna, trainer and humanitarian affairs coordinator.
As a reminder, the "Community Prosecutor" project was launched in 2023 as a pilot initiative in four regions of Ukraine. The program aims to enhance community safety and trust in the law enforcement system by fostering comprehensive partnerships between prosecutors, local authorities, civil society, the media, and other stakeholders.
The project, "Enhancing the Capacity of Prosecutors in the Community Prosecutor Pilot Project and Specialists of the Coordination Center for Supporting Victims and Witnesses of War Crimes," is implemented by the "NAVKOLO" Charity Foundation with the support of the Law Enforcement Section of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.
