Today, following yet another massive attack on Ukraine and amidst a blackout, Mariya Tuzyk, member of a charitable foundation Navkolo, had the privilege to speak at a conference organized by the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs and USAID, dedicated to accountability for war crimes. The event brought together experts committed to sharing best practices for collaboration and coordination in holding Russia accountable for its heinous crimes against Ukraine.

During her remarks, she highlighted the work of Charity Fund Navkolo in building the capacity of regional coordinators who support victims and witnesses of war crimes. This includes efforts to identify and address gaps in the coordination between prosecutors and coordinators, aiming to improve the journey of victims from the first point of contact to court proceedings. Additionally, we are working to provide a sustainable support system for these coordinators through mentorship and psychological supervision.
The work being done in this space is not only essential for justice and accountability but also for fostering resilience and hope for those most affected.
